The Rival Boxing RSX-Guerrero Deluxe Mid-Top Boxing Boots have been specifically engineered for both training and competition. Constructed with a mid-top design, they are the perfect boxing boots for optimal ankle support and stability. Another feature to this quality boot is a carbon fiber textured heel cap which ensures added support and a longer boot life. The Guerrero Deluxe also has an improved inner fitting for maximum comfort as well as breathable mesh on both sides for ventilation. This boot features an upgraded version of Rival's classic sole with an improved rubber compound for better traction and durability. Not as good as the RSX-1

I love the RSX-1 boots, but mine are worn out. Rival doesn't sell them anymore, so I thought I'd try these. They look extremely similar. These boots feel like someone asked "how can I make the RSX-1 bad?". They are not as high top (don't provide as much comfort and support.), the boots have no flex (they don't let the foot bend or move), the soles and way thicker (I don't feel as solidly on the ground), and these are the only rival shoes I've purchased where a size 10 doesn't fit. I'm sure that they are much more durable then the RSX-1, but in my opinion fall far short in every other way.

Solid boxing shoe

I had perviously submitted a review with a lower score, but would like to retract my initial thoughts. This shoe has really helped me improve my foot work, and has aided better all around movement when it came to striking. The overall build is great, but probably due to improper lacing on my end, the assisting heel loop had actually snapped when I tried to slip my foot in. But it was an easy fix with thread and super glue.
